Slovakia establishes new quality standards with the Youth Work Academy

The Youth Work Unit of the National Institute for Education and Youth is launching a new educational programme to support youth work in Slovakia.

The Youth Work Academy is a comprehensive educational programme designed for those working with young people. It will help to establish quality youth work standards in Slovakia. The programme consists of two modules: basic and advanced. The basic module focuses on acquiring the key competencies required for safe, ethical and high-quality youth work. The advanced part focuses on a more systematic approach to working with young people and dealing with challenging situations.

The Academy is intended for youth workers, stakeholders, volunteers in youth organisations, youth leaders and others who wish to enhance the quality of youth work.
