Hundreds of young people already Walk the Talk in 17 countries!

EU inFORM, the European project funded by the European Parliament and developed by ERYICA along with 10 ERYICA members, is growing steadily, demonstrating that there is a clear demand from young people to be informed in view of the European Elections in 2024.

In recent months, our young activists have had the opportunity to interview five Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and Ms Dubravka Suica, the Vice-President of the European Commission for Democracy, to convey their concerns about the participation of first-time voters in the elections.

Many issues are on the table, including the need for practical information on voting procedures, a simplified comprehension of the EU's role in our lives, and an understanding of the stances of the different political families at the European level.

But we've got them covered! All these issues and many more are explained in our social media campaign, which tackles the topics they care about, such as mental health, climate change or employment, from the perspective of young people, policy-makers and the EU.

In addition, thanks to our recently launched political programme comparator, anyone can now contrast the ideologies of the seven European political families and make informed decisions before casting their vote. This powerful tool benefits not only young individuals but anyone eager to participate in the elections!

Recognising that being well-informed is essential for effective information dissemination, we are pleased to announce the launch of a toolkit for youth informers in collaboration with FIJWB Belgium. This toolkit not only helps clarify election-related concepts but also serves as an excellent resource for organising activities with young people in your youth centres. The booklet will be available by mid-February.

If you find this information intriguing and would like to get involved, we have opened up the opportunity for ERYICA members and other youth organisations to join the project through our Supporters scheme. Find out more about the scheme and fill in the form if you are interested.
