Youth Ambassadors Exchange Strengthens Regional Cooperation in Baleares

Around 70 young people aged 14 to 18 gathered at La Victòria Camp in Alcúdia, Balearic Islands, on May 3 and 4 for the Youth Ambassadors Meeting organised by IBJOVE. The event brought together youth ambassadors from the Balearic Islands and, for the first time, a special group of 10 youth ambassadors from the Region of Murcia.

The meeting, supported by the Balearic Youth Institute and several local youth centres—including Punt Jove de Ciutadella, Sóller Youth Information Centre, Capdepera Youth Centre, Marratxí Youth Information Centre, and Casal de Joves de Santa Maria—focused on sharing experiences and strengthening connections among youth ambassadors across regions. In a reciprocal gesture, 10 ambassadors from the Balearic Islands attended the meeting of the Murcia Region at the end of June.

This gathering serves as both a celebration and a thank you to the young ambassadors for their efforts throughout the 2024/2025 academic year. The ambassadors play a key role in collaborating with local youth information services and centres, spreading information about activities and creating their own projects to engage peers.

During the camp, participants presented and reviewed their projects from the previous year while engaging in fun, dynamic activities designed to foster teamwork and friendship. The presence of the Murcian ambassadors enriched the experience, creating a lively and special atmosphere, highlighted by a spontaneous and entertaining rap battle during the farewell.

This exchange, facilitated by the Ibero-Insular Working Group, exemplifies the power of youth cooperation across regions and the positive impact of youth information ambassadors.
