Ibero-Insular

The Ibero-Insular working group was created in 2018 to promote activities and projects within the Iberian Peninsula and its islands, and to build connections between ERYICA members in the region.

Members

Currently, the group is made up of 11 members from Andorra, Portugal and Spain. They meet once per year to share best practices and to discuss the working plan for subsequent terms.

The group’s work is divided into two commissions dealing with different branches of youth information: youth ambassadors and training. Moreover, the group is responsible for translating ERYICA’s campaigns and publications to Catalan, Spanish and Portuguese.

Youth ambassadors

The commission is responsible for the organisation of the Ibero-Insular Youth Ambassadors Summit, which is now in its third edition. In 2022, the Summit gathered 200 young people and 50 youth information workers and policy-makers to share ideas and pave the way for the future Ibero-Insular Youth Ambassadors network.

Moreover, the group is in charge of creating the Ibero-Insular Youth Ambassadors Guide, which gathers all the relevant information regarding the youth ambassador programmes in the region, in addition to tips and advice on how to create and lead a programme at a local level.

training

The commission is in charge of programming the Iberian trainings organised in Catalan, Portuguese and Spanish. In addition to providing a platform for the cooperation between trainers from the region, it also facilitates the mobility of youth information workers to participate in trainings organised by other members.
