Established in 1985 and managed by the City of Oulu Youth Services, the Youth Information and Counselling Service operates as part of the multi-professional, one-stop guidance center Byströmin Ohjaamo. The service provides information, advice, and guidance to young people and young adults under 30 in Oulu, as well as their parents and relatives.
Operating both on-site and through outreach in youth centers, workshops, and educational institutions, the service offers walk-in assistance and scheduled meetings covering all aspects of life. In addition to face-to-face support, it provides digital services through the Nuortenoulu.fi platform, including an anonymous Q&A service, while collaborating with local networks to deliver comprehensive and reliable information.
