Up to YOU(th) Festival 2025: A Celebration of Creativity, Inclusion, and Youth Power in Cyprus

Young people from across Cyprus came together for the Up to YOU(th) Festival 2025, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation, volunteering, and inclusion. Once again, the festival showcased the collective strength of youth when they participate, collaborate, inspire, and create together.

The festival offered something for everyone: live performances by school bands and popular groups set a festive tone, while Human Talks offered space for real-life stories that promoted diversity and acceptance. At the Tech Fair, innovation took centre stage with VR applications, robotics battles, 3D printing, and showcases from the Cyprus’ Youth Board Youth Makerspace and STEAMers. Youth culture thrived at the Pop Culture Fair with cosplay, comics, and gaming, while Sci-Co Cyprus and the Cyprus Astronomical Society brought science and astronomy to life through hands-on experiments and stargazing.

Other highlights included adventurous challenges at the Youth Hunt, sustainable fun at the Eco-Sports area with upcycled games, film screenings in the park’s caves, and a lively children’s corner. Scouts and Guides engaged participants with experiential activities, while Simba Animal Aid raised awareness about animal care. Over 70 NGOs and youth groups took part in the NGO Fair, creating opportunities for networking and active youth participation.

Accessibility and inclusion were at the heart of the event, with ramps, signage, and sign language interpreters ensuring that everyone could enjoy the festival equally.

As the President of the Youth Board of Cyprus, Ms. Konstantina Achilleos, stated:

“Our vision is a society where young people create, participate, and innovate. The Up to YOU(th) Festival makes this vision a reality, giving space to the voices and creative power of all young people.”

The Up to YOU(th) Festival once again proved that it is more than just a festival — it is a platform for youth energy, ideas, and concerns, empowering young people to imagine and shape a better tomorrow.
