Palma hosts the 7th Ibero-Insular Meeting: Shaping the year ahead
The Ibero-Insular Working Group met in Palma from 22 to 24 October, bringing together representatives from the three countries that form the group for two days of collaboration and planning. The meeting was opened by the Director of IBJOVE, Tomás Amer; ERYICA’s Director, Anja Frohner; and ERYICA’s Vice-President, Carlos Amatraín.
A total of 23 youth information workers from Portugal, Andorra and eight Spanish regions joined the sessions hosted by IBJOVE. The group reviewed the progress made over the past year and worked on a shared roadmap for the months ahead. Discussions centred on the Youth Information Ambassadors programme, including upcoming joint activities that will bring Ambassadors from all participating regions and countries together.
Participants also explored fresh approaches to training and professional development within the network. Ideas such as professional exchanges and updated learning formats gained traction, alongside planning for the next editions of the El (in)formativo newsletter. The group also confirmed that Catalonia will host the next meeting.
Beyond the working sessions, participants had the chance to share good practices and enjoy the vibrant city of Palma, further strengthening the cooperation that defines the Ibero-Insular group.
