The transformation of Poraka Nova

Poraka Nova: A New Chapter

Founded with a mission to support people with disabilities, Poraka Nova has undergone a significant transformation over the last year and has become:
Association New Generations Social Innovators for Inclusion – PORAKA NOVA”,
retaining its recognisable name, while expanding its scope to meet the evolving needs of marginalised communities more broadly.

Recognising the growing intersection between technology, social justice, and youth engagement, Poraka Nova shifted from being a traditional service-based organisation to one focused on social innovation, youth empowerment, and systemic inclusion. This transformation is a product of many years of experience and reflects our belief that to achieve true equality and participation, we must engage young people as co-creators of solutions, advocates for their rights, and leaders of change.

Their Strategic Programs: Bridging Gaps through Action

PORAKA NOVA now implements its mission through three interconnected program areas:

  1. Social Inclusion
Promoting and facilitating the participation of underrepresented and marginalised groups in all aspects of public and social life. We continue to support people with disabilities while also addressing the needs of youth, women, rural populations, and other marginalised communities.

  2. Social Innovation
Harnessing the potential of technology and creative thinking to develop new solutions for old challenges. Projects in this area focus on digital tools, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and collaborative innovation between sectors.

  3. Youth Empowerment
Enabling young people to become socially aware, resilient, and engaged changemakers through non-formal education, peer learning, international mobility, and participation in policy processes.

At PORAKA NOVA, they believe in the potential of every young person to shape a better world. Whether through policy advocacy, intercultural dialogue, or innovative technology, we are working to ensure that marginalised voices are heard, included, and empowered – across borders, online and offline.

Currently, we are involved in several ongoing projects, and we welcome organisations that need partners to collaborate with them, enabling them to create a stronger bond in the future.
