The ERYICA Nordic-Baltic Youth Information Working Group is starting a new online activity to empower their networks

The Nordic-Baltic YI Working Group will begin hosting online discussion group meetings called "Let's talk!" in January 2024. The aim of these meetings is to create a safe environment for youth information specialists to share professional experiences, provide peer support, and discuss opportunities, new themes, and open questions.

The idea and concept of an online discussion group were developed during the Nordic-Baltic Youth Information Working Group meeting in Helsinki earlier this year. The working group members recognise the potential of their networks and specialists to offer peer support, provide a safe place for raising questions and discussing topics, and contribute ideas and support to youth information workers at both the local and national levels.

The online discussions began in January 2024 and continue throughout the year. The first meeting, focusing on youth information and counseling today, was organised by Koordinaatti from Finland. It took place on 17 January 2024 at 9 am (CET). The second meeting will be organised by Harno, Estonia on 14 February 2024, and the third by Forum för Ungdomsinformasjonskontor from Norway.

The working group plans to organise a total of 9 online meetings in 2024, each with a specific topic. Youth Information workers and other specialists who are involved in youth information services in their daily work are welcome to attend these meetings to discuss and share their experiences and ideas.

The working language of the discussion group is English, and the meetings will take place on the Teams platform. To provide maximum flexibility and a secure environment, the online discussion group will take place during the first half of the working day, lasting up to one hour. The meetings will not be recorded, and there is no need to sign up. The language used is English.

The online discussion group is organised by members of the Nordic-Baltic Working Group from Estonia (Education and Youth Board), Finland (Koordinaatti), Lithuania (LiJOT), Norway (Forum för Ungdomsinformasjonskontor) and Sweden (Lidingö Stad).
