New resources on mental health by the Youth Partnership

As part of its commitment to research on topics affecting young people, the Youth Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe has recently published three new resources on mental health and well-being that may be of interest to you and your networks.

The first one is Advancing youth mental health and well-being: A mapping of policy frameworks, tools and services across Europe, a study that provides evidence from 24 countries, as well as work done by major European institutions, to present an overview of international and national policies and legal frameworks designed to advance young people’s mental health and well-being. It analyses the main providers of mental health services, the main age groups for which services are designed, and the formats in which they are delivered. It concludes with a set of recommendations on policies, services, competences, and research in youth mental health and well-being. Download it here.

Then we have Insights into youth mental health and well-being: existing practices and new trends, a short thematic publication that offers a general overview of the main factors affecting young people’s mental health and well-being, followed by an overview and analysis of European and national policies in the field. It also provides ideas for action on youth mental health and well-being across policy, capacity building for professionals, services, and research and data collection, while acknowledging the noteworthy efforts already undertaken. You can read it here.

Last but not least, the Youth Partnership has published some new episodes of UNDER 30’, a podcast series started in 2020 that brings research results, explores trends in young people's lives and themes relevant for youth policy and practice. The last episodes focus on topics such as Youth Participation in Civic Space and Rural Youth Transitions. We invite you to listen to them to stay updated on the situation of young people across Europe and the latest news from the Partnership. Listen to it here.
