Youth Voices Shine Through Media and Art in Slovenia
In September, SKUC/L’MIT printed their newest edition of the What Makes Me Happy cards. Every year, the Ljubljana network of info points collects and publishes funny, unique quotes from young people about what makes them happy. They illustrate and print the best six contributions that are available in the Info centre Škuc and at other members of L’MIT.
This year, they also launched several initiatives and projects, such as a new project called "In the kaleidoscope of information," which will help young people distinguish quality information from disinformation and improve their media literacy.
Moreover, they launched a series of podcasts featuring media literacy experts and a community art project on hate speech with young artists, which will be exhibited in November. Finally, they created a brochure with tips and tricks for young people to assess whether the information they are getting is legitimate and of good quality.
The projects are led by Info centre Škuc in partnership with Zavod MISSS and City library Ljubljana. The project is cofounded by the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia.
