European Solidarity Corps: Two Paths, One Network - Experiences from aha Liechtenstein
Luisa and Junus show how diverse a year with the ESC can be. Both joined the European Solidarity Corps through aha Liechtenstein: Luisa as an outgoing volunteer, and Junus as an incoming volunteer.
With support from aha, Luisa travelled to Greece for six months. In Thessaloniki, she worked on a social project, rescued unsold food from the weekly market, and supported people with fewer resources. Through a close-knit community, plenty of creativity, and immersion in a new culture, her stay became a learning journey full of courage, independence, and new perspectives.
Junus came to Liechtenstein as an ESC volunteer hosted by aha. After finishing school, he was looking for a place where he could work creatively, grow personally, and still have a secure framework. At aha, he contributes his strengths in social media, podcasts, and youth information projects while learning how European youth work functions.
Both stories show what becomes possible when young people are supported, encouraged, and connected across Europe.
aha Liechtenstein is always happy to collaborate with new partner organisations for both sending and hosting volunteers. We enjoy working with organisations that want to offer young people these kinds of experiences.
Interested in collaborating? We look forward to hearing from you.
