5th ERYICA Ibero-Insular Meeting

5th ERYICA Ibero-Insular Meeting

From 26 to 28 October, 50 representatives from ERYICA members from Andorra, Portugal and Spain gathered in the beautiful island of Menorca for the 5th ERYICA Ibero-insular working group meeting.

Three days full of learning and reunions, in which the Iberian members had the opportunity to learn more about the work of youth information services in the Balearic Islands and to bring the local reality closer to the international level and vice versa.

In the upcoming year, the group members will continue their work on two self-managed commissions:
The Commission on Youth Ambassadors will organise the third and fourth meetings of Iberian youth ambassadors, which will potentially take place online in 2023 and face-to-face in 2024. They will also finalise the local youth ambassadors guide in 2023 and continue building the map of youth ambassador programmes in the three countries. Finally, they will explore ways to recognise youth ambassadors' skills at the national level and elaborate a joint training.
On the other hand, the Training Commission is planning to organise several ERYICA training courses in Catalan, Portuguese and Spanish in 2023. Due to the close cooperation between the members in this region, new ERYICA members in these three countries will be able to benefit from ERYICA training courses thanks to the trainer's mobility between regions.

Big thanks to the Balearic Youth Institute (IBJOVE) and the Municipality of Ciutadella for hosting us and showing us the island's culture with so much care and attention to detail!
