In January, Belgium took over the rotatory presidency of the European Union. Among their priorities is the empowerment and inclusion of citizens, with a special focus on youth participation. With this aim, they have created the euyouth2024 platform.

In Estonia, local governments have the possibility to assess the quality of youth work. Last year, the Education and Youth Board (Harno) started a pilot activity for local governments to offer support after a quality assessment to develop local bottlenecks, such as youth information services or youth participation.

From 3 to 5 October 2023, ERYICA participated in the "All Together for European Elections 2024" event organised by the European Parliament in Brussels. More than 160 organisations from all over Europe were present in this interactive face-to-face event to discuss their ideas to enhance participation in the next EU Elections.

The "Up To YOU(th)" Festival returned for the 7th time on Saturday, 23 September at 17:00, at the Acropolis Park in Nicosia, Cyprus. They invited the public to a celebration of youth, with young people themselves as the protagonists, sending a strong message that today and tomorrow are in the hands of the younger generation.

This year, the Youth Information Point from the Luxembourg city centre decided to go on tour with the “Info truck” and give a “Back to School”- Kit to the youngsters returning back to school.

Youth Work Ireland recently published a new resource as part of the Proud Spaces project. This project, funded by Erasmus+ and supported by national agency Léargas, seeks to evidence youth work practices, activities and processes that achieve better outcomes for young LGBTQI+ people in youth work settings.
