ERYICA welcomes five new European Youth Information Quality Label Awardees
At the recent 36th ERYICA General Assembly in Chisinau, Moldova, five organisations proudly received the European Youth Information Quality Label. The ceremony, held in the stunning National History Museum of Moldova, was led by ERYICA’s former President, Patrick Burke, and Vice-President, Sif Vik.
Sylvia Ivanova, Co-Secretary to the Joint Council on Youth of the Council of Europe, joined as a special guest. Speaking on behalf of the Council of Europe, she highlighted the institution’s ongoing support for this impactful initiative. The Quality Label, developed through a partnership between ERYICA and the Council of Europe (2019-2022), recognises organisations that meet the high standards outlined in the European Youth Information Charter, thereby ensuring that young people receive reliable and accessible information.
Congratulations to the new awardees:
Harno (Estonia)
Zett (Germany)
Eurodesk Italy (Italy)
Dirección General de Juventud de la Comunidad de Madrid (Spain)
With these additions, 15 organisations have now been recognised over the years for their commitment to quality youth information. The 36th General Assembly also marked the three-year review of the first group awarded in 2022, demonstrating ongoing dedication to maintaining these standards.
The European Youth Information Quality Label supports organisations by enhancing their visibility and credibility, promoting good practices, and helping young people identify trusted sources of information within their communities. It’s a vital tool in strengthening youth information work across Europe.
Youth information providers across Europe can apply for the Quality Label twice a year, the next deadline being 31 October 2025. Contact the ERYICA Secretariat for more details.
