Italy's first European Youth Information Quality Label holders officially recognised in Alghero
The first three Italian organisations to receive the European Youth Information Quality Label were officially recognised at an award ceremony held during Eurodesk Italy's Annual Training Seminar in Alghero, Sardinia, from 19 to 22 October 2026.
The event brought together 50 Eurodesk representatives and youth information workers from around 50 local centres across Italy. The programme included three days of network activities and a public seminar, providing an opportunity for professional development, exchange and discussion on youth information work.
The award ceremony was also part of the programme, recognising the achievements of the first three Italian Quality Label holders:
Matera Hub, managed by Consorzio Materahub industrie culturali e creative;
Comune di San Vito al Tagliamento (Municipality) and Officina dei Bozzoli;
Associazione InformaGiovani ETS, based in Palermo.
The European Youth Information Quality Label, developed by ERYICA in cooperation with the Council of Europe, recognises youth information services that meet the standards set out in the European Youth Information Charter. The Label awarded to the three centres is valid for the 2026 - 2028 period.
Eurodesk Italy is itself a European Youth Information Quality Label holder and was appointed by ERYICA in 2025 as the national body responsible for awarding the Label in Italy.
The ceremony offered an opportunity to acknowledge the work of the three organisations and share their experience with the wider Italian Eurodesk network. Their recognition may encourage other youth information services to undertake the Quality Label assessment process and use it as a tool for improving their work. A further application round is already underway in Italy in 2026.
