Imaginarte, an environment dedicated to young talent in Spain
IMAGINA, Alcobendas Town Council's Youth Centre, offers support, exhibition and promotion rooms for young artistic talents through the IMAGINARTE project.
In this context, El CUBO stands out as a specific resource designed to host exhibitions and to showcase different cultural, social, and youth-entrepreneurship approaches developed by young people.
This scheme seeks to involve young people actively in their community's cultural life, promoting their creativity and talent through artistic and cultural production. It also aims to create an environment where they can display their artistic works, giving them exposure as creative artists and providing them with new skills gained through experience working in a real-life exhibition.
What is El Cubo?
El Cubo is the exhibition area located in the lobby of the Imagina Youth Centre in Alcobendas. It is an outdoor showcase visible from the street, allowing the works to be displayed 24 hours a day.
This area is made available to young artists, either individually or collectively, to host projects in disciplines such as visual arts, photography, design, illustration and sculpture, among others.
How does it work?
The entry to Imaginarte is open to young people aged 14 to 35 who live, study or work in the municipality. Submission of new projects remains open throughout the year, and those interested can send their artistic projects to the Imagina team, which will assess their feasibility and coordinate their development.
Since its launch, CUBO has helped to raise the profile of dozens of youth projects, including individual projects, projects by associations and educational centres, among others.
