The 2025 ESNsurvey Is Now Open – Have Students’ Voices Heard

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has launched the 16th edition of the ESNsurvey, Europe’s largest student-led research project on international mobility. Open until 31 July 2025, the survey collects insights to help shape and improve Erasmus+, as well as other student exchange programmes.

This edition invites responses from:

  • Students who have participated in mobility exchanges in the past two years

  • International full-degree students currently or recently studying abroad

  • Non-mobile students, to understand their reasons for not participating

  • NEW in 2025: Graduates currently in employment who took part in mobility, to assess how these experiences influenced their skills and career opportunities

The theme, “The Future of International Student Mobility,” comes at a pivotal time for European Higher Education, focusing on teaching and learning during mobility and exploring flexible learning pathways linked to the European Degree proposal.

Since its first edition in 2005, the ESNsurvey has been a vital source of student perspectives, informing institutions and policymakers. The previous survey attracted over 23,000 responses, helping improve inclusion and access to mobility.

To thank participants, this year’s survey offers exciting prizes, including:

  • 1 of 5 Interrail Global Passes

  • A 2-night stay at a Meininger Hotel

  • 1 of 2 Ryanair vouchers worth €50

We invite youth information workers and partners to share the survey widely and encourage young people to contribute their experiences.
