Cyprus Youth Information Centers Spread positivity

In these harsh and strange times we are living in, the Cyprus Youth Information Centers of the Youth Board of Cyprus are trying to help young people maintain a positive attitude amidst the COVID-19 crisis. In an effort to keep human interaction alive, albeit remotely and via the web, the Youth Information Centers are carrying out a challenge on Instagram. They have invited young people to upload photos, either on Stories or as posts on their Instagram accounts, of things that make them happy, and to use the hashtag #StayHappyChallenge. We aspire to motivate young people to be more aware of the positive things that they have during these difficult times of home isolation and social distancing.

What is more, during the quarantine period, the Youth Information Centers have organised 3 online upcycling workshops, which will be aired via Facebook videos. The workshops aim to encourage young people to spend their free time at home creatively and make different items by using materials like tins, old T-shirts, boxes etc to create useful things.

Finally, since this is the time students are applying for their Master’s Degrees at universities, the Youth Information Centers will hold a live online seminar entitled “How to apply for your Masters” with a Q&A session, which aims to provide career guidance and helpful advice from one of our professional career counsellors.
