CIJ Luxembourg becomes ANIJ!

For the last two years, the CIJ has embarked on a process of change that resulted in a change of denomination. Indeed, from May 2018, the Youth Information Centre of Luxembourg “Centre Information Jeunes” is now called the National Agency for Youth Information (ANIJ). This denomination highlights the character that ANIJ must play at national level through the development of the network and its reference status for issues relating to Youth Information in Luxembourg.

The change of CIJ’s name is due to the changes in its organisation and a new mission. Several reflections within the team were needed, and have been enriched by exchanges with partners from other European countries. ANIJ has also benefited from the support of ERYICA in the framework of the Youth Information Development Fund. This support enabled ANIJ’s Director and two colleagues to make a study visit to Finland, which helped to draw on good practices, particularly in terms of how Koordinaatti operates in support of the Youth Information network in Finland.

These ideas were used to support the development of a Youth Information network in Luxembourg, one of the main lines of work of ANIJ.

In its new functioning as a reference body for Youth Information, the ANIJ of the Youth Information Centre is also committed to provide offers and services to the network to ensure fair access to information for all young people in Luxembourg through face-to-face and digital means.

More than in the past, ANIJ also undertakes to represent and promote Youth Information at the national and local levels in order to support political decision-making according to the needs of young people.

The new, colourful logo illustrates the new dynamism that ANIJ brings to Youth Information in Luxembourg!
