SALTO I&D. UNDER THE SAME ROOF. Youth work and cross-sectoral co-operation in the field of inclusion

SALTO-YOUTH is a network of six Resource Centres working on European priority areas within the youth field. As part of the European Commission's Training Strategy, SALTO-YOUTH provides non-formal learning resources for youth workers and youth leaders and organises training and contact-making activities to support organisations and National Agencies (NAs) within the frame of the European Commission's Erasmus+ Youth programme and beyond.

SALTO-YOUTH has organised a seminar on Youth work and cross-sectoral co-operation in the field of inclusion in the Slovak Republic on the 21 to 25 February 2018, which aimed at promoting sustainable cross-sectoral cooperation for young people with fewer opportunities in order to enable their active involvement and integration in society.

Main Objectives:

  • To explore strengths and weaknesses of cross-sectoral approaches targeting young people with fewer opportunities, notably Roma youth

  • To exchange ways of working together and methods of intervention in inclusion of young people

  • To get to know different realities and sharing good practices in cross-sectoral work with young people

  • To stimulate the development of cross-sectoral projects for young people with fewer opportunities, notably Roma youth within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.

The video below  "Under the same roof - youth work and cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of inclusion" gives you a better idea about why is cross-sectoral cooperation a way to go and how to do it successfully.
