Since January 2007, the National Youth Foundation has been the umbrella national structure that brings together 22 county youth foundations from all over Romania and is the only non-governmental federative youth structure recognized by a law regarding public policies for youth (Youth Law).

FNT’s members own 10 youth houses, 12 youth clubs and 4 sports bases. In 10 of those locations, but also in 3 other newly created spaces, FNT supports the activity of 13 youth centres dedicated to youth Ukrainians and Romanians.

Through its pyramidal organizational structure, FNT ensures the representation at the central level of the interests of over 175 non-governmental youth organizations from the local level, represented within the county youth foundations, being among the most representative non-governmental youth structures in Romania in terms of territorial coverage and youth programs/activities.

NextGen Youth: Empowering young changemakers to build stronger communities

The NextGen Youth Bootcamp in Timișoara brought together 27 young people and 19 emerging NGOs, equipping them with tools to drive change. The program continues with mentorship, grants, and support for project implementation. Several groups have gained legal status, with more in progress. Learn more about the programme!
