Congratulations!

In Petto, the ERYICA member in Flanders, Belgium, received an award of € 10.000 for implementing the Hip Hip Happy project. The award was granted within the framework of celebration of the World Day of Mental Health on October 10, 2009. The project consisted of 3 parts:

Contribute to a Publication!

ERYICA partner from Czech Republic NDIM is in the process of editing a brochure on Youth Information Services in Europe, thus soliciting ERYICA and EURODESK members to provide some input on the area of youth information. As the field of youth information services is a broad subject, the present publication  will focus only on national or umbrella bodies in each country, aiming to define -       youth information services provided -       number of youth information centres/similar organisations

National Youth Information Centre, Prague - Inauguration of Premises

European Citizenship Training Courses - Apply!

A new series of four European Citizenship Training Courses will be implemented from November 2009 to June 2010. Each training course should gather approximately 25 participants from across Europe (EU and non-EU member states) during one week. As usual, these Training Courses will follow the curriculum developed by the partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth. The new Training Courses will be co-ordinated by the SALTO TC RC, and implemented by the National Agencies of the Youth in Action programme.

By decision of the ERYICA Governing Board (June 12 – 13, 2009, Helsinki), ERYICA is glad to welcome Youth Net, England, UK in the quality of ERYICA’s new Affiliated Organisation. ERYICA is convinced of the fruitful co-operation with their new English colleagues and hopes that both parties will profit from the new partnership.

Consultation Paper Open for Submissions

As a result of the ERYICA's Working Group Meeting in Rotterdam (April 2009, link). a Consultation Paper on the "Principles for Online Youth Information" was put forward to the attention of the ERYICA network for comments and feedback. The ERYICA team in Luxembourg are currently collecting feedback and inputs to the Consultation Paper from the network (submissions open till September 1, 2009) in order to elaborate the final version of the Paper.
