The Council of Europe has launched a call for participants for the Seminar - "Gender Equality in Youth Projects" to be held at the European Youth Centre Strasbourg on 23 - 27 June 2010. This seminar is part of the ENTER project, organised by the Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe within its work priority on “Social Cohesion and Inclusion of Young People”.



Next Thursday, the 6th of May 2010, the National Coordination and Development Centre of Youth Information and Counselling will organise a Youth Information and Counselling theme seminar in cooperation with Kanuuna Network in the city of Oulu.

ERYICA is glad to announce its 21st General Assembly, which will be held in Helsinki, Finland on June 3 – 6, 2010. The event will be hosted by the National Coordination and Development Centre of Youth Information and Counselling Services in cooperation with Youth
 Co-operation Allianssi, ERYICA member in Finland. Please find all practical information concerning the General Assembly (accommodation, upon-arrival information, visa issues, etc.) in the attached invitation letter.

In the framework of the "A Better Youth Information for New Times" project and in cooperation with the Youth Board of Cyprus we are glad to invite 10 Youth Information workers from the ERYICA network to the "YIntro - Stepping into Youth Information" course. The training will take place in Cyprus from 28.04 - 02.05.2010. Profile of Participants: Beginners in the field of Youth Information, able to communicate and work in English.

The Netherlands Youth Institute (NJI) and Foundation JONG Rotterdam will organise the European Expert Meeting for Youth Workers "Empowering Youth Work: Placing Youth Work in Europe as an Evidence-based Practice". The meeting will take place on March 17 - 19, 2010 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The Council of Europe offers a training course on Democratic Leadership and Management of Youth Organisations. Voluntary or employed staff of international non-governmental youth organisations, and other youth networks are invited to apply. The course aims to develop the participants’ attitudes, improve their skills and receive additional information and knowledge in order to manage youth organisations (programme, units or boards) in a democratic, efficient and effective manner.

ERYICA invites up to 25 trainers in the "Train the Trainer" event on the ERYICA beginners training course "YIntro - Stepping into Youth Information". The training is addressed to trainers experienced in Youth Information. The course is aiming at preparing trainers to deliver courses in accordance with the new "YIntro" course rather than providing participants with generic training skills, such as on Youth Information topics and competences.

Within the framework of the “A Better Youth Information for New Times” (ABYIFNT) project the ERYICA Training Task Force will hold its sixth consecutive meeting from January 23 – 25, 2010 in Brussels, Belgium. The project serves as a platform to bring together trainers and youth information workers from all over Europe to discuss the most pressing issues of generalist youth information.
