Launch of "YIntro" Course

ERYICA is glad to announce the launch of the "YIntro – Stepping into Youth Information" course. Together with ERYICA’s Training Task Force "YIntro" has been designed for training beginners in the field of Youth Information. The manual covers the basic areas of knowledge and skills needed for Youth Information Work and is meant to be an introduction to the field. "YIntro" is built on four working areas:

1. Background and Principles of Youth Information

2. Youth Information in Practice

3. The Art of Working with Young People in a Youth Information Setting

4. Continuous Development of Youth Information Work

The course is based on the expertise of ERYICA training experts with national and international training on Youth Information and the experiences gained over the last 8 years with European "Train the trainers"-courses and national courses on the MBTC (Minimum Basic Training Course) – Module.

The Aims of YIntro

- Introduce the relevant areas, competences and skills of Youth Information

- Offer a basic course to newcomers to the field

- Enhance a common quality framework within the ERYICA-Network

- Provide a first step into Youth Information Work, which will be followed by advanced modules covering more into depths certain areas of the work field.

Upon its inauguration during the "Train the Trainer" event coming March in Prague, the "YIntro" manual will be accessible to all certified ERYICA trainers and their organisations.
