City of Youth -Voice of Solidarity

Promoting youth information centres take different forms in different environments. The Center for Exellence, Equality and Sustainable Development, Croatia, decided to promote youth info centres of Croatia via a concert "City of Youth-Voice of Solidarity" in Dvorana mladosti in Rijeka, Croatia, on May 22, 2009.

The concert gathered famous Croatian singers: Tereza Kesovija, Radojka Šverko, Vinko Coce with klapa "Kampanel" and Group ENI, well known both locally and internationally.

Irena Grdinić, local TV and Radio star, moderated the programme.

Although aimed at older spectators, giving them a chance to remember their youth days, the event was a great example of intergenerational solidarity, as the special guest of the event, Davide Capecchi, ERYICA Director, stated.

The funds raised from the concert will finance a project connecting and fostering partnerships between NGOs of South-East European region via an interactive portal with a database of all NGOs registered.
