On 22 September the European Commission launched an online public consultation on the future development of EU youth policies. The consultation is addressed both towards individuals and organisations which are interested in the future of young people in Europe.

European Youth Week 2008

From November 2 to 9, the European Youth Week will be part of the agenda across Europe! A variety of events and activities will be organised in the countries participating in the Youth in Action programme, and a central event will take place in Brussels from November 2 to 6.

Following proposals by several European youth organisations, the International Advisory Board of the World Youth Congress has unanimously proposed Pierre Mairesse's nomination as a Champion of Youth in 2008 in recognition of a 10-year career dedicated to providing better services in Europe for young people.
