The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA will be holding a seminar on the topic “Youth Information Center – successful tool for implementation of youth policies” from 03 – 05 of September 2010 in the city of Stip, Republic of Macedonia. This event aims to give room to an exchange of experiences with the implementation of Youth Information centers in FYROM and the region of Lower Normandy – France focusing on the Youth Information centres role in the implementation process of youth policy.

Mexico and the United Nations invite all nations
to celebrate with them in the World Youth Conference (WYC) in León, Mexico from
23-27 August 2010. This event brings together youngsters, non-governmental
organisms, governments and parliamentarians to discuss youth issues, and to
review the youth's role in attaining the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), ten
years after the United Nations' Millennium Declaration.

resolution 54/120, the United Nations declared the 12th August as the International
Day of Youth - a day dedicated to celebrating on a global scale the
achievements of all young people who with their work actively contribute to
society. This year's International Day of Youth also marks the start of the UN

The city of Istanbul, Turkey is currently hosting the 5th World Youth Congress (WYC) on Youth and Development.
In the wake of Istanbul’s current position as Europe’s Capital of Culture, the WYC gathers 1,400 young people – young activists, young journalists and entrepreneurs – from all over the world who have come to Istanbul to directly engage with development professionals, UN agencies and government officials.

The first European Youth Work Convention, organised by the Belgian EU presidency, will start today in the city of Ghent, Belgium.
From 7-10 July youth workers from 50 European countries will meet to discuss about the role of youth work especially concerning its needs, strengths and assets in order to initiate discussions for its developments on a European level.

The Council of Europe has issued a new recommendation on Youth Information. Adopted by the Committee of ministers on June 16th 2010, the recommendation CM/Rec(2010)8 shall serve as an update of the Recommendation 90(7), a core reference for Youth Information in Europe.

Pirovac, Croatia. The event goes on from 18.- 26.6. and is hosted by our
Croatian member PRONI - Centre for Social Education co-founder of the Association of Youth Information Centers in Croatia. Other attending countries
are Slovenia, Turkey and Luxembourg.

The city of Prilep, in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,
celebrates the opening of its first Youth Information and Counselling Centre today,
on May 31st 2010. The centre "INFO NOW" has been founded with the
support of the Agency for Youth and Sports of the Republic of Macedonia, among
others, to provide information and advice and to deliver training and education
in relevant areas of young people's lives.
