Spring for the BYIFNT
Within the framework of the BYIFNT project, the ERYICA Working Group met in Rotterdam on April 23-24, 2009 to discuss the quality principles of Online Youth Information.
As a result, a Working Paper was drafted, that was distributed within the ERYICA network for its comments and feedback. The next meeting to discuss the Paper is scheduled for autumn 2009, before the ERYICA General Assembly 2009, where the Paper will be presented for the final approval. The final version of this paper will then always be used in close connection with the existing European Youth
Information Charter.
Key stakeholders of the project, ERYICA and Youth Agora, have already met to discuss the creation of an online platform for youth information centres across Europe, its main needs and objectives (Rotterdam, March 25, 2009).
According to the decision taken in Rotterdam, the platform will be a user-friendly tool, responding to what the youth information workers need, and will enable them not only to display their activities in an interactive way to their colleagues abroad via the platform, but will also facilitate exchanging experiences with other youth information centres.
Consultation Paper "Principles for Online-Youth Information": Background
During the Infomobil-Seminar 2008 in Rotterdam, a first draft of principles concerning Online Youth Information was drawn up.
